There is no burial register information available for Ann Smith.
Only three of the five burial register books still exist as far as we know and these are held at the Berkshire Record Office.
Stillborn children were not recorded in the burial register, only in the cemetery accounts.

Ann Smith
c1799-1862
Ann Newbury was born in Newbury she was the daughter of John and Jane Newbury (nee Froome) who married in Newtown Hampshire in 1795.
In 1815 Ann (15) was living with her parents and her brother James (11) at Doe’s Yard (west side of Northbrook Street) Newbury.
Ann married Elijah Smith on the 31st January 1837 at St Mary the Virgin Speen Berkshire. They had a son Thomas born in 1838.
In 1841 Ann was recorded as a School Mistress she was living in a Yard off Bartholomew Street Newbury with her 3 year old son Thomas. In 1851 she was recorded as a Nurse in the household of Cornelius Doe and family in Northbrook Street and in 1861 Elijah, Ann and Thomas were living in Withmills Yard Bartholomew Street, Elijah was recorded as a Master Tailor.
Ann died aged 63 in 1862 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 12th November.
Elijah remarried in 1863 his 2nd wife was Mary Ann Harris (nee Stagg) who was widowed in 1862. In both the 1871 and 1881census records they were recorded living in Bartholomew Street Newbury, Elijah was recorded as a Grocer/Provisions Dealer. Elijah died aged 86 in 1890 in Newbury and Mary Ann died aged 66 in 1882 in Newbury.
