Fanny Wristbridge

Fanny Wristbridge

Fanny was born in Wiltshire she was baptised on the 2nd September 1810 in Ludgershall Wiltshire and was the daughter of John and Frances (aka Fanny) Hutchins (nee Foord) who were married on the 12th May 1789 in Colingbourne Kingston Wiltshire (John was from Ludgershall).

John and Frances also had the following children:

Joseph 1802-1802

Joseph 1805

 

Fanny married John Wristbridge (born c1802 in Whitchurch Hampshire) in Whitchurch Hampshire in 1843.

In both the 1851 and 1861 census records John was recorded as a Tea Dealer living with his wife Fanny in Shaw Road Newbury.

Fanny died aged 52 on the 6th October 1862 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 9th October.

John remarried in 1863 his new wife was Elizabeth Granger (born 1805 in Newbury).

In the 1871 census John and Elizabeth were recorded living at 18 Smith’s Crescent Shaw Road Newbury and John was recorded as a Retired Tea Dealer. He died aged 70 on the 21st February 1872 and was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 26th February.

Elizabeth died aged 71 on the 1st January 1877 and was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 8th January.
