George Saunders

George E Saunders

1862-1862

 

George Edward was born in Newbury he was the son of George and Fanny Saunders (nee Down) who were married on the 21st September 1857 in Brimpton Berkshire. George was born c1831 in Reading Berkshire and Fanny was born c1830 in St Germans Cornwall.

George and Fanny also had another son, William David born c1859 in Sandhurst Berkshire.

In the 1861 census George was recorded as a Licenced Victualler living with his wife and son William at the Royall Forester Inn Sandhurst Berkshire

George Edward died aged 6 months in 1862 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 29th September.

George’s father George died aged 40 in 1871 he was buried on the 9th April at St John Egham Surrey

 Fanny and William David were recorded in the 1871 census living at Middle Hill Egham Surrey

Fanny remarried on the 18th August 1873 her 2nd husband was a widower, William Trader, they were married at St John the Baptist Hoxton Middlesex, both were living in Britannia Street, William at number 17 and Fanny at number 54, William was recorded as an Inspector of Insurances.

Fanny Trader died aged 49 in 1879 her death was recorded in Newton Abbott Devon.
