Joseph Charles Tucker
1861-1862
Joseph Charles was born in Newbury 1861 he was the fifth child of William & Elizabeth Tucker (nee Curtis) who were married in Newbury in 1852. His father was born Brimpton and his mother was born c1835 in Newbury.
Joseph Charles died aged 0 in 1862 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 2nd September
William & Elizabeth had ten children altogether but sadly only two survived to adulthood, Albert born c1864 and Thomas born1870.
Joseph’s other siblings were:
John Arthur 1853-1858
George Samuel 1854-1856
William Walter 1857-1859
Alice Amelia c1859- 1862
Henry Theodore c1860-1861
Charles Edward 1866-1869
Charlotte Annie 1868-1869
(Records show that all of the above children were buried in the Newtown Road Cemetery apart from Henry Theodore)
Joseph’s father William died aged 57 in 1882 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 17th February.
His mother Elizabeth remarried in 1882 her 2nd husband was Richard Middleton. She died aged 74 in 1912 and was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 6th April.
