There is no burial register information available for Sarah Ann Lait.
Only three of the five burial register books still exist as far as we know and these are held at the Berkshire Record Office.

1861-1862

 

Sarah Ann was born in Newbury she was the daughter of Samuel Henry & Harriet Lait (nee Tooley) who married in Bicester Oxfordshire in 1841, Samuel was a Cooper.

Sarah Ann died (before her 1st birthday) in 1862 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 7th March.

The family moved to Newbury before George was born in 1848, they lived in Jack of Newbury Street until at least 1861 moving to Granger’s Yard by 1871 and Milton Court by 1881.

 

Sarah’s mother died aged 65 in 1883 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 3rd November.

Sarah’s father died aged 74 in 1888 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 21st July.
