Eleanor Parker
c1771-1861
Elinor Brown was born in Newbury she was baptised on the 8th October 1771 at St Nicolas Church Newbury the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Brown.
Eleanor married John Parker on the 4th September 1790 at St Nicolas Church Newbury.
John and Eleanor had a daughter Mary born 27th June 1791 she was baptised on the 22nd July 1791 at St Nicolas Church Newbury
In the 1851 census Eleanor (79) was recorded as a Widow, Receiving Parish Relief, living with her sisters Catherine Brown (82) and Mary Brown (77) in Raymond’s Almshouses Newbury.
The 1861 census records Eleanor (89) as a Widow of Currier. She was still living with her sisters Catherine (92) and Mary (88) in Raymond’s New Almshouses
She died aged 89 in 1861 and was laid to rest in a private grave in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 12th April
Her sister Catherine also died in 1861 she was 92 years old she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 2nd August.
Her sister Mary died aged 90 in 1864 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 1st February.
