Thomas Mayo
1851-1859
Thomas was born in 1851 and was the son of William & Mary Mayo (nee Butson) who were married in 1838.
Marriage details for his parents:
Date: 19th March 1838? Place: St Nicolas Church Newbury?
Groom: William Mayo, of Full Age, Bachelor, occ: Servant, of Newbury?
Bride: Mary Butson, of Full Age, Spinster, of Newbury?
Groom's Father: John Totty Mayo, occ: Sexton of this parish?
Bride's Father: Amos Butson, occ: Coachman?
Witnesses: John Mayo and John Totty Mayo?
Both Bride and Groom signed their names
William & Mary had 10 children altogether, two of which they named Thomas, the first Thomas was born in 1846 but sadly died aged 2 in 1848, he was buried as Thomas Totty Mayo on 17th May at St Nicolas Newbury.
William and Mary also had the following children:

Mary Jane born 1839??Sarah born 1841??
Robert born 1843, died 1844 aged 1, buried 26/8/1844 at St Nicolas Newbury
William born 1844??
Amos born 1847, died 1848 aged 9 months, buried 10/6/1848 at St Nicolas Newbury
Alice born 1853??
Francis Butson born 1856, died 1894 aged 7, buried 19/2/1864 at Newtown Road Cemetery
The family lived in Newbury (Northbrook Street in 1841, the parish of St Nicolas in 1851, Caroline Place in 1861 and again in the parish of St Nicolas in 1871.)
Thomas died aged 8 in 1859 and was buried on 12th September at Newtown Road Cemetery
