There is no burial register information available for Amelia Challis.

Amelia Challis
c1788-1859
Amelia Whiting was born in Newbury she was the daughter of Elisha & Mary Whiting (nee Wilkins) who were married in Froxfield Wiltshire in 1780. Elisha was a Millwright.
In 1815 Amelia was living in the City Newbury with her parents and her sister Ellen. She married Charles Challis (born c1793 in Newbury) on the 19th February 1816 at St Nicolas Church Newbury and they had four sons, John born c1817, Henry born c1826, George born c1829 and Joseph born c1831.
Charles was a Bricklayer in his younger days but by 1841 he was a Book Seller living in Old Newtown Road Newbury with Amelia and their three youngest sons.
The 1851 census records Charles & Amelia living separately, Charles was at 13 Trafalgar Place Newbury and Amelia was working as a General Servant in Stroud Green.
She died aged 71 in 1859 and was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 4th July.
Charles was still living at 13 Trafalgar Place in 1861 but had retired. He died aged 69 in 1862 and was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 11th June.
