Hannah Purdue

Hannah Parsons was born in Greenham, Berkshire

She married Joseph Purdue on the 20th October 1793 at St Nicolas Church, Newbury.

They had the following children:

Joseph baptided in 1794 at St Nicolas Newbury

Mary baptised in 1798 at St Nicolas Newbury

Hannah born 22nd April 1800, baptised 18th May 1800 at St Nicolas Newbury

Sarah born 10th June 1803, baptised 16th June 1803 at St Nicolas Newbury

William born 2nd June 1805, baptised 30th June 1805 at St Nicolas Newbury

Maria baptised on the 4th October 1807 in Ludgershall, Wiltshire

George baptised 3rd January 1813 in Ludgershall, Wiltshire (father recorded as an Innholder)

 

In 1841 Joseph (75), Hannah (70) and their grandson Samuel King (9) were recorded living at 6 Bartholomew Almshouses, Newbury, Berkshire.

Joseph died in 1844 (age at death recorded as 82), he was buried on the 30th April at St Nicolas Newbury.

In 1851 Hannah (86) was recorded living with her married daughter Maria Tombs (43) and her family at 84 Northbrook Street, Newbury.

Hannah died aged 94 in 1858, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 6th October.
