There is no burial register information available for Matilda Curtis.
Only three of the five burial register books still exist as far as we know and these are held at the Berkshire Record Office.
Stillborn children were not recorded in the burial register, only in the cemetery accounts.
This information is taken from the accounts ledgers of the Newbury Cemetery Company that originally ran and maintained the cemetery.

Matilda Curtis
1853-1856
Matilda was born in Newbury Berkshire the daughter of Israel and Ann Curtis (nee Hussey) who were married in 1851 (marriage registered in Kingsclere).
Matilda’s siblings were:
Alfred born in Newbury in 1849 (before marriage, the birth was registered as Alfred Curtis (MMN Hussey).
(died aged 2 in 1856 buried in the NRC on the 9th May)
Edward 1857
Henry William 1861
Charles 1859
Possibly Caroline born c1851 as the 1861 census records this child although there does not seem to be a birth registration for her.
In 1851 Israel was working as a Blacksmith and Ann, Alfred and Israel were living with Israel’s parents and his brother Isaac in Back Lane, Newbury.
Matilda died aged 2 in 1856 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 9th May.
In 1861 the family were living in Eyles Yard, Bartholomew Street, Newbury and Israel was working as a Marine Store Dealer.
Matilda’s father Israel died aged 32 in 1862, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 5th May.
Her mother Ann died aged 36 in 1865, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 11th November.
