James Young

1852-1853

 

 

James was born in Newbury, he was baptised on the 20th October 1852 at St Nicolas Church Newbury, the illegitimate son of Maria Young.

 

James died aged 8 months in 1853, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 20th May.

 

His mother Maria was born c1832 in Twyford Berkshire

 

In 1851 Maria was working as a House Servant, living in Northbrook Street, Newbury with a William Salisbury (44) and his family. William was a Builder.

 

Maria married William Rumble in 1856 (marriage registered in Newbury. William was born c1835 in Greenham).

 

The 1861 census records the couple living in Greenham, Berkshire. William was recorded as a Shoemaker and Maria, a Shoe Binder. William died aged 28 the following year.
