Recorder's Notes | William Haslam, born in Denbighshire Wales, married Frances Broadway from Shaftesbury, Dorset and lived and worked in East Knoyle,Wilts. He ran a grocer and draper's shop and she was a straw hat maker. By William's death they had moved to Newbury near their daughter Jane Haydon's drapers in Bartholomew St. In 1881 Frances and her daughter Frances and grandson, William Haydon, were living in 3, Craven St, Newbury. Frances, draper's asst. to her parents, lived there until her death. Jane Haydon lived in Bartholomew St with husband William Haydon, draper, who is buried in ChNW26 with 2 of their sons.
