Transciption:	SAMUEL JONES SUDDEN DEATH - On Saturday morning last, about half past eight o’clock, as Samuel Jones, a tinker of Old Newtown Road, was near the Railway Bridge, Bartholomew Street, he was seized with a cough and spitting of blood, which increased to a great extent, and before medical assistance could be procured he was a corpse. The deceased had had a cough and slight spitting of blood for the last 12 months. An inquest was held on the body at the Black Boys, in the evening, before J. Bunny, Esq., the borough coroner, when the following verdict was returned: - “Died by the visitation of God from the bursting of a blood vessel.”

Transciption:	SAMUEL JONES SUDDEN DEATH – An inquest was holden before Joseph Bunny, Esq., the borough coroner, on Saturday evening last, at the Black Boys Inn, on view of the body of Samuel Jones, when it appeared from Charles Knight, that he found the deceased about eight o’clock that morning, in Bartholomew Street, sitting on the handle of his grinding barrow. Blood was running out of his mouth to a great extent. His brother, Charles Jones, who was with him, went for a doctor. Witness asked deceased if he would get into his donkey cart, and ride home, and he helped him into the cart. After proceeding about thirty yards, a much greater quantity of blood poured out of his mouth, and he immediately expired. Witness then assisted in removing him into the Black Boys Inn. Charles Jones, the brother of the deceased, corroborated the statement of the last witness, and said that for the last twelve months his brother had been troubled with a cough, and frequently spit blood, and was short breathed. The jury immediately returned a verdict, that deceased died by the visitation of God, from the bursting of a blood vessel.
