THE LATE MRS. STEPHEN KNIGHT

FUNERAL AT OLD CEMETERY
The funeral of the late Mrs. Stephen Knight, wife of Captain Knight, of Holland House, Newbury, who, as announced in last week's “N.W.N.” died at the wheel of her car from heart failure, whilst motoring between Faccombe and Ashmansworth, took place on Saturday afternoon. Owing to the sudden nature the Coroner for north-west Hants. Had to be informed of the death, but decided that an inquest was not necessary, as the deceased lady had been under her medical attendant, Dr. Leggat, for heart trouble for some time past. She had also been seen by Dr. Wylie, who happened to be coming along the same road in his motor at the time she lost consciousness.

The interment took place in the Old Cemetery in the Newtown-road in a downpour of rain, the service in the Cemetery Chapel being conducted by the Rev. WW.L. Holloway, Vicar of St. Mary's, Speenhamland. The family mourners included Stephen Knight, Dr. Bernard Knight, Mrs. Wykeham Robinson, Miss Gabrielle Robinson (grand-daughter), Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton Knight and Miss Helen Strong (sister). Amongst those also present were Dr. Gordon Leggat, Mr. Edward Turner, Mr. Percy Chillingworth, Mr. W. P. Wright, Mr. R. Richardson, Mr. H.H. Brooks, Mr. Hugh Turner, Mrs. Danford Skinner, Mr. Harold Walker and Mr. M. Fabry.

[There follows a long list of those giving wreaths.]
