Unnamed (stillborn) Rogers

1851-1851

This child’s parents were William Tripp and Elizabeth Rogers (nee Canning) who were married in 1846, in Speen, Berkshire.

Father: William Tripp Rogers was baptised in 1810 in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, the son of Josiah and Maria Rogers (nee Tripp) who were married in 1808, in Wantage, Berkshire.

Mother: Elizabeth Canning was baptised on the 22nd May 1823 in Collingbourne Kingston, Wiltshire, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Canning (nee Stagg) who were married on the 14th February 1821 in Collingbourne Kingston.

In 1851 Elizabeth (28) and William (41) were recorded living in Andover Terrace, Newbury, Berkshire.

Elizabeth gave birth to her stillborn baby in August 1851, the child was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 14th August.

Elizabeth also died in 1851, she was 28 years old, her death was registered in the September quarter in Newbury. She was buried on the 17h September 1851 in Collingbourne Kingston, Wiltshire.

After Elizabeth’s death William moved to Surrey. In 1871 he was working as a Station Agent. He died aged 62 in 1873, in Surrey.
