Elizabeth Higham

c1779-1851

Elizabeth was born c1779. (Possibly in Hampshire as this is where she was married)

Elizabeth Hall married Daniel Higham on the 9th April 1801 in East Woodhay, Hampshire. Daniel was from Tilehurst, Berkshire.

(Daniel was baptised in 1774 in Tilehurst, Berkshire, the son of John and Elizabeth Higham (nee Dore) who were married in Tilehurst in 1752).

Elizabeth and Daniel had the following three children baptised in Highclere, Hampshire:
John, baptised 15th January 1802

Richard, baptised 17th May 1803

Eliza/Elizabeth, baptised 9th May 1806

The 1841 census records Elizabeth aged 60, (not born in the county) living at 5, Bartholomew Terrace, Newbury, Berkshire with Daniel aged 65, a Collector of Taxes.

Daniel died in 1841 in Newbury (age at death recorded as 67).

Elizabeth died aged 72 in 1851 and was buried in unconsecrated ground, in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 12th March.
