Vashti Ann Lamdin
c1815-1851
Vashti Ann was baptised on the 21st November 1815, at St Nicolas Church, Newbury, Berkshire, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Palmer.
She married Thomas Lamdin on the 20th October 1833, at St Nicolas Church, Newbury.
The 1841 census records Vashti as Ann, aged 25, living with Thomas, aged 30, a Porter, in West Mills, Newbury, Berkshire. (Surname recorded as Landin on ancestry)
Vashti died aged 35 in 1851. She was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 5th February.
Thomas (38) was recorded in the 1851 census, as a Grocer’s Porter, living in Union Chapel Yard, Newbury. His father-in-law Thomas Palmer (64), a Cordwainer, was recorded living with him. (Surname recorded as Lamna on ancestry)
Thomas remarried in 1852, his 2nd wife was Elizabeth Sims
They had the following 4 children, all born in Newbury:

William Thomas born 1856
Charlotte Ann born c1859
Eliza Mary born 1861
The family were recorded living at 5 Trafalgar Place, Newbury in both the 1861 and 1871 census records, Thomas was recorded as Grocer’s Porter.
Thomas died aged 61 on the 31st July 1871, at Trafalgar Place, Bartholomew Street, Newbury. He was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 3rd August.
Elizabeth died aged 66 on the 17th July 1893. She was laid to rest in Newtown Road on 20th July.
