There is no burial register information available for Emma Layton.
Only three of the five burial register books still exist as far as we know and these are held at the Berkshire Record Office.
Stillborn children were not recorded in the burial register, only in the cemetery accounts.
This information is taken from the accounts ledgers of the Newbury Cemetery Company that originally ran and maintained the cemetery.

Emma Layton
1849-1850
Emma’s father was Zaccheus Layton born on the 29th September 1816 in Aylesbury Buckinghamshire the son of Zaccheus and Martha Layton.
Emma’s mother was Hannah French baptised on the 10th July 1825 at St Peter Great Totham Essex the daughter of Edward and Mary Ann French.
Zaccheus and Hannah were married at St Nicolas Church Newbury on the 3rd July 1843, both were single. Zaccheus was recorded as a Hawker and their fathers were recorded as Zaccheus Layton, a Carpenter and Edward French, a Labourer.
Zaccheus and Hannah had the following children:
William born 1844 in Newbury
Robert born 1846 in Newbury
Thomas born c1848 in Newbury
Emma born 1849 in Andover
Lucy Louisa bornc1851 in Newbury
Walter born 1852 in Andover
Francis born 1853 in Andover
Arthur born 1857 in Andover
Emma died aged 1 in 1850 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 1st October
In 1851 Emma’s mother was visiting in Newbury she was recorded as Anna (25) and was staying at the Black Bear with her daughter Lucy (3 months). Emma’s father was recorded as a Dealer in Ware, lodging in Bridge Street Andover.
In 1861 the family were living in Market Place Andover, her father was recorded as an Earthenware Dealer. By 1871 the family had moved to the High Street Andover.
Emma’s mother died aged 49 in 1874 in Andover.
The 1881 census records her father as a Dealer in China etc., living at 49 High Street Andover. He died aged 73 on the 8th January 1889 in Andover.
