Charles Randall

Charles Randell

c1824-1850

 

Charles was born in Berkshire he was the son of Thomas and Amey Randell (nee (Langton) who were married on the 11th April 1814 in Thatcham (surname spelt Randle at time of marriage). Thomas was born c1790 in Longparish Hampshire and Amey was born c 1789 in Newbury.

Other known children of Thomas and Amey were:

George c1829

Henry c1833

In 1815 Thomas Randall (23), Amy (24) and their infant son William were living in Church’s Yard on the west side of Mary Hill Newbury, Thomas was working as a Labourer.

In the 1841 census Thomas Randell (45), Amey (50), Charles (15), John (15), George (12) and Henry (8) were recorded living in Mary Hill Newbury, Thomas was recorded as an Iron Founder.

Charles Randell died aged 26 in 1850 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 2nd August.

The 1851 census records Thomas Randell (62) as an Iron Founder, living in St Mary Hill with Amy (63), John (24), a Carpenter, George (23), a Hopstick Turner and Henry (19), a Labourer in an Iron Foundry.

Thomas Randall died aged 65 in 1855 he was laid to rest in the Newtown road Cemetery on the 28th December

Amy Randall died aged 69 in 1858 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 9th June
