Jemima Harris died 1915
From FNRC Website Died 0n 5th June 1915 buried 9th June abode Enborne Place ( previously Aldridge married to James Aldridge who died 13th Sept 1866 aged 34 )
Headstone: In Loving Memory of James Aldridge who died Sept. 13 1866 aged 34. Also his wife Jemima who died 5th June 1915 – Peace perfect peace.
The burial register says she was 79 but the memorial details say 80 – so born 1835/36
Jemima had at least 7 children.
FMP Census 1861 has Jemima living with husband James at Old Road Newbury with four children. James’ occupation a licenced hawker.
Four children were:
James age 6 born 1855
Charlotte age 5 born 1856
Ann Maria age 3 born 1858
William 0 born 1861
William Aldridge (James older brother also lived with them aged 35 – a general labourer) but when her husband dies five years later aged 34. Brother-in-law William ends up in the workhouse and dies aged 46 in 1870 is also buried in NRC)
FMP Census 1871 has Jemina now living in West Fields Newbury alone (a widow) with three more children.

FMP Census 1881 Jemima was still at West Fields but had another daughter called Florence age 1 born 1880. No mention of Florence’s father as Jemima is a widow. However the NWN 7.2.1884 obituaries states Florence Lilian dies in 1884 aged 4 daughter of C Aldridge SO VERY LIKELY THAT JEMIMA IS HER GRANDMOTHER
From FNRC Web and FMP In November 1898 when Jemima is 64 she marries Abraham Harris a widower aged 69 – he was a brick tile maker and they live in Enborne Road. Berks Marriage Index states They were married at St Giles Church in Reading. Abraham’s address was 40 Upper Crown Street Reading Previously Abraham was married to Charlotte Cruse/Harris and had one daughter named Elizabeth born in 1873 – he was 51 and wife Charlotte was 46 when she was born.
FMP Census 1901 has Jemima now 67 living at Enborne Place with husband Abraham Harris 72.
NRC burial records Abraham Harris buried 27th Feb 1911 age 84 - Jemima lives for another 4 years.
