Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Heath, of Ladismith, Porchester-road, have suffered an acute loss from the death of their little girl, “Vilie,” after an illness of only a few days. Though but 7 ½ years of age, she had taken a delight in committing to memory hymns and tunes, which she sang as solos at anniversary and other religeous gatherings, with a sweet and artless manner that not only charmed, but gained for her many friends.
Quite a number assembled at her funeral, when two of her favourite hymns were sung, and a number of wreaths were placed upon the little coffin.
