Recorder's Notes | Thomas Deacon was born in Shalbourne and married Annie (Sarah Ann) Keeling in 1879 in Newbury. Their parents were both labourers. Thomas was working as a plough boy aged 10 and later worked as a Carman & General Labourer. Annie began as a Cook to a Maltster in Eastfields, Newbury before marriage. Thomas and Annie are the parents of Edith Mary ALEXANDER. She is buried in the cemetery with her cellebrated husband ALBERT ALEXANDER.
