The articles below contain information about Hannah Dell.
HANNAH DELL nee Whipp. Ref: 7098.
Hannah was born in 1844 in Clanfield, Oxfordshire. She was baptised there on 8 September 1844.
In 1851 she was living with her parents, Frederick & Rachael Whipp in Clanfield. They were Agricultural labourers & had 4 other children: Jo, Elizabeth, Emma & Julia. Hannah was 6.
In 1861, aged 17, she was a housemaid for a farming family near Uffington, Oxfordshire.
She married George Dell (436) in 1870 (Q1 Newbury 2c 319).
In 1871 they were living at 7, Waterloo Road, Newbury. George was a Decorator.
From the 1881 to 1911 census records they were living at 62, Northbrook Street, Newbury. George stayed in the same trade. They had no children but occasionally took in boarders.
Hannah died, aged 67, on 26 November 1912 (Q4 Newbury 2c 295) & was buried in NRC on 29 November 1912.
