Harry
Morton Stamford was born in Middlesex 28th of January 1861. He died at 36, Rue Victor Hugo, Boulogne sur Mer, France, aged 51, on 27th August 1912.He lived at the Limes, Andover Rd, Newbury. He was the father of second Lt.Gerald Morton Stamford killed in action at Givenchy 15th June 1915. His name was commemorated on the War Memorial in the destruyed St Johns church and is also inscribed on panel four of Newbury War Memorial .
