Arthur Alfred Quin
1907-1912
Arthur was born in Newbury, Berkshire, the son of William Barry and Ellen Eliza Quin (nee Harris) who were married in 1886 in Andover, Hampshire.
Arthur’s siblings were:
William Wallace born 1887 in Andover
Ellen Emily born c1890 in Andover
Annie Amelia born 1892 in Andover
Maud Matilda born 1894 in Whitchurch
Beatrice Beryl born 1897 in Whitchurch (died aged 29 in 1926)
Laura Lavinia born 1899 in Whitchurch
Florence Ford born 1902 in Newbury
His father William was born c1849 in Ireland. Prior to his marriage William was an A. B. Seaman, later he worked as a House Painter/Decorator.
His mother Ellen was born in 1870 in Hampshire, the daughter of Charles and Jane Harris (nee Canning) who were married in 1869 in Hampshire
In 1891 the family were living at 6 Adelaide Road, Andover. The 901 census records them living in Century Street, Overton, Hampshire. By 1911 they were living at Speedwell Cottage, Essex Street, Newbury.
Arthur died aged 5 in 1912, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 9th August.
His father William died aged 78 in 1928 (death registered in Newbury)
His mother Ellen died aged 76 in 1946 (death registered in Newbury
