  Top step of pedestal: In Loving Memory of Richard Newberry Coles/ who died Jan. 31st 1902 in his 81st year. "Peace, perfect peace." Middle step of pedestal: And of Ann, his wife/ who fell asleep July 11th 1912/ in her 85th year. "They are not dead". South kerbstone: Also of Tryphosa Elizabeth Coles who died Oct.6th 1925.
