George was the maternal grandfather of my grandmother, Elsie Dove (née Bolton).
He was born in Newbury and lived all his life in Old Newtown Road - apart from old age when he moved to 7 Bartholomew’s Almshouses where he died.
He was a farm servant/labourer.
He married Ann Quarterman in July 1855 and they had at least seven children.
