The funeral of the late Mrs. Maria Ann Palfreman, of the Market Place, Newbury, took place on Saturday afternoon. The first part of the service was at the Parish Church, the Rector of Newbury officiating both here and at the Cemetery.
The mourners were Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Palfreman (son and daughter-in-law), Mr. Ronald Baugust (grandson), Mr. and Miss Cook, Mr. and Mrs. Crawford, Mr. Parson.
The remains were enclosed in a French polished coffin with brass furniture, and plate inscribed,
Maria Ann Palfreman Died September 28, 1910 Aged 84
Amongst those who sent offerings of wreaths were Mr. and Mrs A.C. Palfreman, Mr. and Mrs. F. Curr, Mr. and Mrs. Baughurst and grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs G.W. Cook and family (Newbury), Mr. and Mrs H.T. Cook (Harringay), Mr. and Mrs W.H. H. Belcher and family, Mr. and Mrs. Crawford, Mrs Rowell (Gateshead-on-Tyne), Mrs and Miss Deacon, Messrs F. Povey, W.H. Flint, and F.G. Povey, Mr. and Mrs Mildenhall and Lily, Mr. and Mrs. F. Deacon, Mr. And Mrs. Wm. Cooper, Mr. and Mrs. H.G. Hall, Mr. and Mrs. H. Hall, Mrs. Palmer, Miss Cheeseman, and Miss Crawford.
