THE FUNERALOF MRS CLIFTON
The funeral of Mrs Clifton, of Ashton, Andover-road, widow of the late Mr. Mximillian Clifton, of Norly, Wonersh, Surrey, took place on Friday afternoon at Newbury Cemetery. The body was conveyed in a Washington car, and the service was conducted by the Rev. R. Wickham Legg, Vicar of St John’s.
The mourners were Miss Clifton, Mr. Maximillian Clifton, Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Hardy, Mr. F.W. Clifton, Nurse Lewis, Mr. Victor Corden, Mrs Watts, etc.
The grave was lined with moss and primroses, and at the close primroses, the favourite flower of the deceased lady, were scattered by the youngest daughter, mrs. hardy, on the coffin in its final resting place. The coffin was of polished elm, with brass furniture, the plate being inscribed:-
ADA CLIFTON Died April 28th 1910

According to BMD she was 76 years of age.
