Funeral of Arthur G. Hedge
The funeral of Arthur George Hedge, who was 14 years of age and the only child of Mr. and Mrs. G.H.M. Hedge, of 67. Boundary-road, Newbury, took place on Tuesday at the Cemetery, Newtown-road, the Rev. A.H. Fowler,M.A., taking the service. The mourners were Mr. and Mrs. G.H.M. Hedge, (father and mother), Mr. A. M. Hedge (grandfather), Mr. A. Barnes of Bournemouth (uncle),Mrs. L. Harrison, Yorkshire (uncle), Mrs. Hedge (step-grandmother), Mr. and Mrs. C. Howlett, Mrs. Bacon (cousins), Mr. A. Dumelow.
Among those present at the graveside were Mr. Arnold Penn and Mr. Eric Roberts (Young Men's Class), Mr. W. Midwinter and Miss Bessie Salway (superintendents, Congregational Sunday School), Miss Jane Midwinter, Miss Emily Midwinter, Mrs. Smith, Mr. A. Attewell, Mr. and Mrs. A. Lewis, Mr. and Mrs. Wetherall, Mrs. Giles, Miss Underwood, Mrs. Flitter, Mrs.Liddiard.
