Amelia, her parents, siblings and early life:
Amelia was born in Reading Berkshire, the daughter of Albert and Ann Selina Fewtrell (nee Phillips) (***see Amelia’s parents marriage details below)
Amelia’s mother Ann Selina was baptised in 1836, in Basingstoke Hampshire, the daughter of John and Eliza Phillips (nee Franklin) who were married in 1827 in Basingstoke (John was recorded as John Field Phillips). Ann Selina married as Ann and was later known as Selina. Selina died aged 65, in 1902, she was buried in the NRC on the 29th October.
Amelia’s father Albert was a Tailor. He was baptised on the 6 Jul 1834 at Normandy Street-Independent, Alton, Hampshire the son of John (a Tailor) and Lucy Fewtrell (nee Warner) who were married on the 5th March 1810, in Farnham. Albert died aged 68, in 1905, (death registered in Reading)

The 1871 census records Albert (36), Selina (34), Lucy (13), Charlotte (9), Edwin (7) and Amelia (3 months), living at 5 Cave Court, Reading, Berkshire.
In 1881 Albert (44), Selina (43), Amelia (10) and Solomon (4), were recorded living in Westridge, East Woodhay, Hampshire.

Bride: Amelia Fewtell, aged 19, spinster, abode, Newbury
Fathers: William Tucker and Albert Fewtrell, both Labourers
Witnesses: A. Tucker and C. Fewtrell
(Thomas was born in 1870, in Newbury, the son of William and Elizabeth Tucker (nee Curtis) who were married on the 25th December 1852, at St Nicols, Newbury)

Nellie, c1898 (died aged 3 months, 1898, buried in the NRC on the 24th March)
Elsie, 1899 (died aged 13 months, buried in the NRC on the 28th March 1900)

In 1901 Thomas (33) a General Labourer, Amelia (33), William (10), Edward (8) (Edwin) and Walter (5), (Albert Walter) were living at 12 Adey’s Buildings, Stroud Green, Newbury.
Amelia died aged 39 on the 4th July 1909. She was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 7th July.
Thomas after Amelia’s death:
The 1911 census records Thomas (43) as a GWR Labourer, living at 12 Adey’s Buildings, with his children, William (20), a General Labourer, Edwin (18), working at home, Walter (15), a Grocer’s Errand Boy, Charlie (6), Bessie (9) and Minnie (4).
Thomas died aged 53, on the 25th November in 1922. He was buried on the 29th November, in Shaw Cemetery (abode at time of death, 17 Railway Road, Newbury).
