MRS KETURAH YOUNG

THE FUNERAL of the late Mrs. Young, formerly of Swindon, took place at the Newbury Cemetery on Tuesday.  A short service was held in the Wesleyan Church, conducted by the Rev. Sidney Phillips.  The hymn “Give me the wings of faith to rise” was sung by those present, appreciative reference also being made to the long and faithful service the deceased had rendered to the cause of Methodism.  The members of deceased’s society class assembled at the grave side to show their respect to the memory of one they had learned to love.  Wreaths were sent by the following:  Mr and Mrs G W Love (daughter and son-in-law), Lance and Bertha, George and Milly, Mrs Young (of Swindon), Miss Fowler (blind sister, of Lambourn), and a wreath from the members of her class.  The coffin was of polished elm with brass mountings.  The funeral arrangements were carried out by Messrs .J. Hopson and Sons, Northbrook Street.
