RICHARD HARRISON

THE LATE MR. R. HARRISON AN OLD NEWBURY TRADESMAN
The funeral of the late Mr. Richard Harrison, of Crookham, took place at Newbury Cemetery on Friday afternoon, the 12th. The deceased who moved to Crookham some years ago, had not been in good health for some time. He was the second son of the late Mr. Joseph Harrison, of the well known family of builders. He, with his brother William, who survives him, built the Newbury Cattle Market, also the Infirmary and many other places in Newbury. He was of genial disposition and always ready to help the needy.
The interment took place in the family vault in the presence of a large congregation of sorrowing friends and fellow tradesmen. The Rector of Newbury officiated.

The mourners were Mr. William Harrison (brother), Mr. A. Harrison (nephew), Miss May Allen (his faithful nurse and companion), Miss Harrison (niece), Mrs. Cliffen, Kingsclere, Mr. George Millsom. Those also at the graveside included a deputation of the Licenced Victualler's Association (Mr. G. Paulin, Mr. W. Fabry, Mr. J. Hedger, etc.)., Mr. G. Bull (Crookham), Mr. E. Fosberry (Brimpton), Mr. W. Watts (Welford), South Berks Brewery representatives, Mr. T. Collier, Mr. A.E. Marshall, Mrs. G. Northway, Mr. H. Parr, etc.
