Transciption: | ELLEN WINGROVE She belonged to a family of 16, the only survivor of which is Mr. Frederick Duke, solicitor of Charlton, Kent, who was present at his sister's funeral. Mrs. Wingrove was of a sunny disposition and was much beloved by those who knew her. She was a woman of deep religious convictions, and was a member of the Baptist Church. Her death occurred on her birthday, she having reached the advanced age of

Ellen Duck was born in Newbury in 1827.
She married William Edmund Wingrove at Saint Pancreas Middlesex in 1857.
They immigrated to South Africa where their son Edmund George was born in 1862. Her husband died in 1863 in Eastern Cape South Africa (see obituary NWN) . She also lost two other children in South Africa.
Edmund George remained in South Africa and died there in 1902.
Allen returned to the UK and died in Newbury in 1909 .
