Joseph Cope was born at Eddington near Hungerford in 1863.
By 1891 he was married to Kate Dell (Q. Apr. 1886) and a solicitors clerk. They lived at 12 Madeira Place, Newbury.
In 1901 he was living at 32 Queens Rd. with his wife son and daughter
He died aged 70 in 1908
