Blanche Langton
1871-1907
Blanche was born in Newbury in 1871, she was the sixth child of James & Emily Langton (nee Copes) who were married in Newbury in 1860. James was born in Newbury c1836 and was a Bricklayer, Emily was born in Reading c1836.
James & Emily also had the following children:
Edward 1861-1862
Ernest c1863
Gertrude 1864
Drusilla 1866-1867
Rose Hannah 1868-1868
Agnes Flora 1872-1929
Amy Letitia c1874-1933
Georgina 1876-1878
The family lived in St Mary’s Hill, Newbury until at least 1871 but by 1881 they were living in Sackville Place. By 1907 they were living in The Folly, Pyle Hill, Newbury.
Blanche was working as a Domestic Servant in Kensington London in 1891. By 1901 she was back working in Newbury as a Parlourmaid for a Miss Eliza Bunny at 1 Donnington Square.
Blanche died aged 33 on the 26th September 1907, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 30th September
Her father James died aged 72 on the 7th November 1907, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 11th November
Her mother Emily died aged 83 on the 20th October 1921, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 25th October
