JAMES CARTER JONES
Born Newbury in 1831, the son of a blacksmith at 43 Northbrook Street.
By 1851 he was lodging at Tomeys Gardens and working as a butcher. He then became a fishmonger and stayed as this until death. His premises were in Northbrook Street.
Married his second wife Emma Caroline Portsmore from Hampstead Marshal in 1865. She was 18 years junior. They had 6 children.
James died at Lypiatt Close aged 76 in 1907.
