John Vizard
c1828-1906
According to census records John was born in Kingston St Michael, Wiltshire.
He married in 1855

Bride: Caroline Willis, full age, spinster, abode, Newbury
Fathers: Stephen Vizard, a Farmer and George Willis, a Labourer
Witnesses: William Willis and Martha Willis
(Caroline was baptised in 1833 in Newbury the daughter of George and Mary Willis)
John and Caroline had the following children:

John was recorded as a Coachman on the census records 1861-1901
The family were recorded living in Speen, in 1861 and 1901, Speen Hill, in 1871, Speen Road, in 1881 and Castle Inn College, Speen, in 1891.
John died aged 78 on the 7th March 1906, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 13th March.
The 1911 census records his widow Caroline (76) living on Private Means, at 1 Jubilee Road, Newbury. Her granddaughter Alice Wigmore (22), a School Teacher, was recorded living with her.
The 1921 census records Caroline living in Oxford Street, Newbury with her married daughter Emma Wigmore and her son-in-law James Wigmore.
Caroline died aged 92 on the 15th July 1925, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 20th July.
