Transciption: | ELIZA NEALE THE LATE Mrs. NEALE The funeral took place on Saturday, of the late Mrs Neale, widow of the former Steward for Lady Howard, of Hazelby. With her husband, Mrs. Neale was accustomed to drive from Hampstead Marshall into Newbury every Sunday to attend the services held in the little old Baptist Chapel, in Wharf-road, of which for many years he was deacon. Mrs. Neale has for the last 4.5 years resided at" Clematis," Cottage, Pangboure, where she died. The remains, enclosed in a coffin of English oak, French polished, and having massive brass furniture, were borne by road to Newbury Cemetery, and were met by the following relatives and friends: Mr. Neale. Mrs. Caine (son and daughter). Mr. T. Caine, Miss Caine (grandchildren), Mrs. Neale, Mrs. Canning. Mr. and Mrs. Hawke., etc. The Rev. Geo. Knight was the officiating minister, and the arrangements were under the direction of Messrs. A Jackson and Co.
