THE LATE MISS J.H. ROCHE
—The sudden death of Miss Jane Hatherton Roche, which took place at "Glencoe,” Craven-road, on Wednesday, evoked much sorrow among a large circle of friends, and sympathy for her sister, Nurse Roche.
Miss Roche had been under medical care for some time. but seemed much better, and only that morning was seen by Dr. Watson, who had remarked that it was scarcely necessary for him to call again unless sent for. No immediate trouble was anticipated, but while engaged in household duties she was seized with faintness, and before medical aid could be summoned, or her sister (who was out in the course of her visits), could return, death had taken place from heart failure.
The funeral took place an Saturday afternoon, the first part of the service being conducted at the Parish Church, by the Rector (Rev. Lionel Majendie), Revs. G. Dangerfield and Clifford Frend. A large number of personal friends and neighbours were present in church, and many afterwards proceeded to the Cemetery where the Interment took place.
Floral tributes were sent by sympathising friends.
