Matilda Jane Fidler
She was the daughter of John Goddard, a farmer from Boxford, and his wife Mary, daughter of Matthew and Martha Corker. Her mother had previously been married to John Burt at Saint Paul Shadwell, London in 1808.
Matilda Jane was born on 1 April 1826 and baptised on 30 April 1826 at the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel in Northbrook Street.
She married Edward Fidler on 7 April 1849 at Ventnor, Hampshire. They had two children: A son Frederick Claxton Fidler was born on 22 August 1850 and a daughter Florence Goddard Fidler on 14 November 1869.
She died on 30 July 1904 and laid to rest beside her husband on 2 August 1904.
