Condition of memorial | All but West kerbstone buried. It was fully exposed when Mrs P recorded the Mis in 1980 but she recorded the date of death for Gordon as 1908 instead of 1903. |

Recorder's Notes | Thomas,the son of an upholsterer in Newbury, married Annie Goodwin of Rye, Sussex in Great Dunmow, Essex where they had their family. He was a Draper's Asst. who died in Essex a few months before his last child was born. The family moved back to Newbury, 42 London Rd, where Annie worked as an Upholstress & where Gordon died. Gordon Henry Edmonds
He was born in 1891 in Dunmow, Essex, the eldest son of Thomas Edmonds and Annie, nee Goodwin. His father was an Upholsterer based at 42 London Road, Newbury. In 1901 he is living with his widowed mother and 2 sisters, Marjorie and Amy, and 2 brothers, Frank and Thomas. Sadly he died from acute laryngitis on 28 December 1903, aged 12 years, at 42 London Road. On 1 January 1904 he was buried alongside his father, who predeceased him on 8 December 1899.
