From the top of the headstone: In Loving Remembrance of Thomas Higgs who died June 23 1887 in his 71st year. And of Mary his wife who died Dec. 7 1887 aged 63 years. Also of their sons John born Jan.1 1850, died Dec. 22 1902. Frederick born Nov.6 1858, died Jan.7 1893. Brice Edward born Oct. 31 1866, died April 10 1913. "Not lost but gone before." Also of Elizabeth Ann daughter of the above T. & M. Higgs who died Jan 28th. 1936 aged 79. South side of kerbstone: Also of Annie Georgina, wife of Brice Edward Higgs, died Dec. 10th, 1944 aged 70. | |
