Transciption: | EMMA WHITINGTON THE LATE MRS. W.H. WHITINGTON —To-day we record the death of Mrs. W. H. Whitington which took place on Thursday last, at her residence, Eversley, Queen's-road, after a long illness. Previous to her marriage the deceased lady was mistress of the infants’ department in the Wesleyan school, and for many years was leader of the Women's Bible Class in connection with the Baptist Church. The funeral took place on Monday at Newbury Cemetery, the Rev. E. H. Titchmarsh, Congregational Pastor, officiating. The mourners present included the widower, Mr. W. H. Whitington , Mr. and Mrs. Whitington, son , Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Whitington, Mr. and Mrs. White (Reading), and Annie Franklin (?), Berkeley-road. There were a number of beautiful floral offerings.
