The articles below contain information about Emma Mussellwhite.
EMMA MSSSELWHITEWe know that Emma Musselwhite (formerly Matthews) moved to Newbury between 1888 and 1890 from London, with her husband Alfred and 3 children - Alfred(junior) born 1885, Edith Jessie born 1886 and Frederick born 1888. In Newbury she then had Herbert George born 1890, Arthur born 1892, Mabel Ellen born 1894, Margaret Rose born 1897 and Daisy Emily born in 1902.As Emma died in 1902, we assume that her death may have been related to Daisy’s birth. We know that (amazingly for the time) all 8 children survived into adulthood. We have not seen any of Emma's own documents, only her name mentioned as mother of the children on their birth certificates. We also believe that Edith Jessie (Emma's oldest daughter ) was our grandfather’s mother, which is why we have an interest in the family! We would have liked to visit Emma's grave but, as you have explained, she is in an unmarked plot - we will simply continue our research. If you have any further info on the family or could direct us to anyone else who may know anything we would be extremely grateful.
