John Langton
He was born c.1823 in Newbury. He married Mary Ann Hall in 1847, Newbury; his occupation was Shoemaker. In 1851 he is living in St. Mary’s Hill with his wife and 2 sons William (b.1848) and Henry (b.1851). In the 1881/1891 censuses he is living at 18 Cheap Street, and at 9 Market Street in 1901.
He died aged 78 years on 15April 1901, a retired Shoemaker. Probate was granted to Joseph Smith, Accountant. He is buried with his wife Mary Ann and their grand-daughter Clara Langton.
