Allan Partridge
1900-1901
Allan was born in Newbury, Berkshire, the son of Francis and his 2nd wife, Eliza Partridge (nee Griffin) who were married in 1896 (marriage registered in Newbury)
Allan died aged 13 months, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 19th March 1901.
Allan’s family:
His father Francis was born in 1857, in Newtown, Hampshire, the son of John and Eliza Partridge (formerly Smith, nee Bridgman) who were married in 1856. (Marriage registered in Newbury) Francis married Clara Belcher (nee Bailey) on the 25th December 1888. He was widowed in 1890.
Allan’s mother Eliza was born in 1865, in Newbury, Berkshire, the daughter of William and Mary Griffin (nee Palmer) who were married in 1861 (marriage registered in Newbury)
Francis and Eliza also had the following two sons:
Wiliam Francis Henry, born in 1898
Stanley Gordon, born 5th April1903
In 1901 Francis (44) was working as a General Farm Labourer, living in Hampton Road, Newbury, with Eliza (36) and their son William (2).
The 1911 census records Francis (53) a General Labourer, Eliza (46) and their sons, William (12) and Stanley Gordon (9), living at 4 Westfield Gate, Newbury.
In 1921 Francis (66), a Farm Labourer at Butler’s Farm, Sandleford, Eliza (57) and their son Stanley (18), a Porter were recorded living in Westfield Gate, Newbury.
Francis died aged 66, in 1924, in Newbury
By 1927 Eliza was living at 10 Derby Road, Newbury.
Eliza died aged 69, in 1935, in Newbury
