Amy Matilda Taylor
1898-1901
Amy Matilda was born in Newbury in 1898 she was the daughter of Archie and Rose Harriet Taylor (nee Hunt) who married in Newbury in 1897. Amy’s father was a Farm Worker (Cattleman).
Other children of Archie and Rose were:
Walter Charles Alfred 1899 Albert 1900 Lottie Emily 1902 Rose Emma 1904 Bertie William c1907 Edward Thomas 1908 Annie Naomi 1913
Sadly Amy Matilda (aged 2) and Albert (aged 5 months) died in 1901, both were laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery, Amy was buried on the 14th February and Albert on the 26th March.
The 1901 census records her parents and brother, Walter Charles Alfred (2) living in Monkey Lane Newbury.
The family were living in Bedfordshire by 1902 and were recorded on the 1911 census living in Stopsley Luton but by 1923 the family had returned to Newbury.
