Recorder's Notes | Albert is sister of Martha Collins nee Griffin buried in P(B)11 and George Griffin, Mayor of Newbury, buried in plot C22. He was the son of farm labourer Daniel Griffin and wife Sarah nee Drewett of Weston. In 1881 he was recorded in the 1881 census as a ploughboy. He married Alice Louisa Dore from Bucklebury in 1891 and worked as a miller, living in Stone's Cottages, Marsh Rd, Newbury. They had 3 children but their son Gilbert died a few months after birth.
