A "SALVATIONIST'S" FUNERAL

- The somewhat imposing funeral of a member of the Salvation Army and the Order of Rechabites which took place on Monday attracted a large number of persons. The deceased was a young married man named Henry Viner, who resided at Burton Terrace, West Field, and had for some time been in the employ of Mr. Brice Gould, grocer, of Bartholomew Street. He was well known as an excellent performer on the first baritone in the Salvation Army band, of which he had been a member for 16 or 17 years. He was deservedly held in high respect, and much sympathy has been expressed with his widow.

He died from pneumonia after a brief illness.

The funeral proceedings was headed by the Salvation Army Band, the members of which sent a beautiful floral wreath, as did also Mr. and Mrs. Brice Gould, the latter bearing an inscription "From a well-served employer".

The funeral service was conducted by "Major" Spooner.
